BrauBeviale 2019: Doemens was well received!

From November 12th – 14th 2019, BrauBeviale was once again the hub of the national and international beverage industry. Around 40,000 trade fair visitors attended (2018: 40,882), of whom about 18,000 travelled  from abroad to the Nuremberg  Exhibition Centre. There were 1,088 exhibitors  (54 percent international), up and down the process chain of  beverage production.

The range of services offered by Doemens Academy in Hall 4, Booth 304, including the education programme, the Savour Academy, and the Consulting, Seminars and Services division, generated high interest levels. The booth was heavily frequented on all three days of the fair. Staff were pleased to welcome many former and current students as well as numerous business partners and other interested parties. The Doemens portfolio also attracted a great deal of interest from international visitors.

Doemens’ proprietary flavour standards for beer and water, the international beer sommelier training programme, laboratory services as well as professional development opportunities via the World Brewing Academy (WBA) were in high demand as well. The wit beer brewed jointly with Sachon publishers especially for this fair in the Doemens Experimental and Teaching Brewery flowed constantly; the trade fair light brew was also praised by visitors to the booth.

Not only was the Doemens booth well-staffed, their expertise in the Craft Drinks Area was apparent as craft-made drinks were presented and sensorily assessed. Dr. Wolfgang Stempfl has once again demonstrated his considerable organisational skills this year. A total of eight bars offered tastings by independent experts, including Dr. Peter Schropp, who presented numerous  national/international mineral waters. Julia Bär and Dr. Michael Zepf also spoke at the Speakers’ Corner about sensory assessment technology as an important instrument of quality assurance.

Conclusion: For Doemens, BrauBeviale is an important trade fair for two reasons: on the one hand to strengthen existing contacts, on the other hand to develop new relationships. Both goals were met by the numerous Doemens staff representing the institute. The range of services was well received, as was the craft drinks area designed by Doemens. The Doemens team is looking forward to a repeat at the next BrauBeviale (November 10th-12th, 2020) in Hall 4, Booth 304
