We have been organising italian language beer sommelier training courses in cooperation with our partner Stefan Grauvogl, Arte-Bier owner, for the past 15 years. As master brewer and beer sommelier, the German/Italian and Munich native recognised early on that such a course had potential. He developed a tailor-made training course in cooperation with Doemens.

The first beer sommelier course specifically tailored to the Italian market took place in 2009, one week at Doemens in Gräfelfing near Munich and one week at Arte-Bier in Santarcangelo di Romagna near Rimini.

The 20th such course was held at Doemens this March, bringing the number of Italian beer sommeliers who have now been trained to over 300!
