Doemens at drinktec 2022

After a three-year break from the premier trade fair, the Doemens team is looking forward to welcoming visitors from Germany and abroad to the newly designed representation in Hall C6, booth 402 at drinktec from September 12th through 16th, 2022. In this interview, Doemens CEO Dr. Werner Gloßner describes the expectations of the industry and Doemens Academy.

Dr. Gloßner, You are on the advisory board of drinktec. How do you assess the current mood of the beverage industry with regard to drinktec?

Dr. Werner Gloßner: Everyone involved is happy that after a long delay due to Corona, there will finally be a trade fair with personal meetings and discussions again. We have learned that many things can be done digitally, but we have also learned that in many situations there is no substitute for face-to-face conversations.

For Doemens, drinktec is the first beverage trade fair since 2019. Your expectations?

Dr. Gloßner: We are looking forward to this drinktec and have positive expectations on every level; we have sensed a lot of optimism from among our customers and from the Doemens alumni family.

Why is participation with your own booth in Hall C6 so important?

Dr. Gloßner: The main purpose for attending any trade fair is communication. And having our own booth is the best way to facilitate that. The Doemens booth is an important contact point. Sharing a beer or two is also something we look forward to.

What approach is Doemens taking at drinktec?

Dr. Gloßner: In addition to our standard portfolio, we have developed interesting new approaches around our long-established professional development paths. For example, providing in-service continuing education to those who wish to qualify as master brewers, introducing new seminar approaches around the topic of ‘sensory analysis’ and, of course, rolling out the new sommelier training program for distillates, to name just a few. There is certainly plenty going on here at Doemens.
