Doemens creates brewing experiences

Doemens installed a new 100-liter microbrewery system this March delivered by the Austrian company Alfred Gruber . The compact, fully automated system –  featuring Siemens controls – consists of a brew/mash/wort kettle, a lauter tun, a water mixer, a mash/wort pump, and a wort cooler. A fermentation tank rounds out the complete brewing package.

The brewing system, which was generously sponsored in part by the Doemens Association (Bund der Doemensianer), opens up a wide range of applications: In the future, it will be used at corporate events as well as in seminars and also as part of ongoing beer sommelier training programs. The system enables a hands-on brewing experience. Under expert guidance, the brewing process is taught in a transparent, understandable, and interactive way.

“In addition, the system offers ideal conditions for putting theoretical knowledge directly into practice. A wide variety of beer styles can be brewed here—a genuine experience with high educational and enjoyment value,” says Doemens instructor Oliver Wesseloh,  who is already looking forward to the first sessions with the new brewing system.
