Doemens supports water resilience measures in Europe

To emphasise the importance of collective action for water resilience, the European umbrella organisation Natural Mineral Water Europe (NMWE) invited numerous members of the European Parliament to an evening event in Strasbourg, featuring lectures and a water tasting session. In view of the effects of climate change and pollution on the quality and quantity of groundwater, it is particularly important to discuss these issues with policymakers in order to develop effective protection strategies.

The event also provided an opportunity to taste a variety of natural mineral and spring waters from member states of the European Union and to pair certain waters with certain foods based on taste and mineralisation. The water tasting was conducted by Doemens water expert Dr. Peter Schropp, who also gave a lecture on the uniqueness and diversity of European mineral waters. “Only through an exchange of ideas and knowledge as the only way to create a framework for protecting our groundwater for future generations,” explains Dr. Schropp.
